This Creala 40, hull #1, is the predecessor to the highly successful Pacific Seacraft "Crealock 40" still in production, both of course designed by W.I.B. Crealock. Original owner!

Lizzie is a 40 ft, aft cockpit ,double ended , performance, cruising cutter with fin keel and skeg hung rudder designed by WIB Crealock. The Creala 40 is very similar to the better known Crealock designed Pacific Searaft 40.  The Creala was constructed in the Philippines by Seacraft International under Canadian ownership and management.  Only four were ever completed along with 5 or 6 Creala 36's,   LOD 39' 11' ,  LOL 43 ' , beam 12 ', draft 5' 9", designed 12 ton.
 
I am the original owner of this hull No. 1, launched in Manila mid 1993. I have sailed Lizzie extensively for 12 years- mostly single handing- ending up in Rio Dulce and for much of the  past 10 years as a retired live-aboard.  Now 81 and realizing my energy limitations , ready to move on.
 
The hull is solid fiberglass with no coring.  Coach house and deck are cored.  Hull has simulated planking. Bow is extended three feet with a stainless tube bow sprit covered with a teak grid  . Coach house and cockpit were regelcoated about eight years before after arriving in Rio Dulce.  Coach house and cockpit have 14 non- leaking inward opening bronze ports. Deck and cockpit are teak planked and still in good to very good condition.
 
Lizzie is a designed cutter rig with a keel stepped single spreader Isomat mast and boom. Mast has minimal abandoned drill holes and corrosion.  Whisker pole is stored and launched from the mast.  Standing rigging replaced about 11- 12 years before and boat moored in Rio Dulce fresh water  environment for the past 10 years. Chain plates visible from inside and periodic recaulking without any  indications of corrosion.  Head stay fitted with Plastimo ( French) furler.   Staysail stay fitted with Schaffer furler.
 
Main sail is a new Seattle North with only several weeks use. Main has three reefing points controlled from cockpit.  Hong Kong  UK 135 genoa used only four days in an emergency.   100 percent Lapper is Hongkong UK in good condition. Staysail is Hongkong UK in good condition.
 
Cockpit covered with a stainless tube supported arched fiberglass sheet Bimini .  Solar panel mounted on top with dedicated space for a second. Cockpit sides fitted with rollup/detachable curtains.
 
 Yanmar 44 hp  model 4JHE engine - currently with 1755  hours  is centrally mounted below the waterline with very good access from below main cabin seats and under galley top.  Gear box is water cooled Kanasaki KBW 21.  Drive shaft is horizontal and direct to prop.  
 
200 l fiberglass diesel tank, 140 and 240 l water tanks. 45 l engine heat/ 110 V  hot water tank.  No holding tank.
 
Four  Volta six volt  house batteries -  450 amp hours.  One West Marine 12 volt starting battery. Charged with 130 watt solar panel, Air wind generator, 100 amp alternator, 110 volt battery charger and Honda 1000 gas generator. 
 
Autohelm 6000 mechanical drive mounted to steering quadrant.  Simrad wheel Pilot 30 pedestal mounted,  Cable steering.
 
Italian Vitro refrigeration with four cu ft box. No freezer.
 
Raymarine Pathfinder radar. Mast mounted.
 
Lofrans Leopard windlass . 1200 watt  vertical shaft.    Anchors  - 44 lb Bruce type, 35 lb Delta, 35 lb high tensile Danforth, . 15 ft diameter para  sea anchor.    Appropriate chain and rode.
 
Achilles 8' 8"  inflatable wood floor dinghy with 5 HP Mercury outboard. Dinghy fitted with UV cover.
 
Deck mounted five person life raft( needs re-certification). 406 EPIRB .
 
 Mounted depth sounder, VHF,  GPS, CD player. No SSB radio.
 
Automatic submersible bilge pump and sump pump.  Hand operated bilge pump.
 
Alternator output, solar panel input, wind generator input, consumption, and battery voltage are gauged.
 
Varnished interior teak vertical paneling with white formica at port  level.  Floor is varnished teak.  All teak is Burmese or Thai and solid.
 
Lizzie is a  no-nonsense, versatile, comfortable,  aesthetic, performance cruising cutter  rigged for solo or short handed sailing and ready to go.   She has been sailed and maintained by one caring owner. USCG Documented.  Will be sad to loose her.
